- This scheme was to improve the small street presence and interior courtyard/access area of an existing condominium complex in Malibu. A series of water elements and trellises were placed at key points to function as “landmarks” on the path to the units. Planting areas were added to define the entries as well as make them more private. These drawings were early in the design process and were done as simple line drawings to emphasize the forms and mass of the elements. They would have later been developed to show materials and color, but the project was not taken beyond the conceptual stage due to the homeowners’ budget situation.
